At first I was confused, maybe a little upset, but then I think I understood. Why doesn't anyone ask about my paintings? Only months ago, I posted a new painting to the web every other day. But now I think it is because you were afraid of encouraging my paintings at the cost of discouraging my poetry. Right? Well, don't worry. I can do both. Here is my lastest painting. You all think you knew from my "odd" behavior at the beach. But have any of you ever gone with me to a beach before? I don't swim. Or waterski. And I was freezing cold. I did go on a long bike ride. At least I wasn't puking then. Hopefully the baby isn't sad today.
We are so excited. I just hope that the morning sickness (who named it that anyway...when it goes 24/7) ends soon.

My first impulse was to respond with something like, "yes, you guessed it, we are going to adopt...pregnant?! What do you mean, you knew that Wendy was pregnant!?" But it is true. She is about 3 months along. Did anyone notice the title of the painting? Family Photo March 2007? Anyways, thanks. We are all excited.

I didn't even notice the 2007. I thought the baby was a potato until I blew up the photo so I could see it better. I love that little potato.
Wendy I didn't think your behavior at the beach was odd, and no I have never been to the beach with you before. Sorry if it came across that I was watching you the whole time. I have to admit I was pretty engrossed with Afton. I think I just got a vibe and gave a guess and that got lost in translation.
But more to the point... CONGRATULATIONS! I am so excited for you guys. I hope the pukey feeling goes away pronto. Can't wait to have another baby around!
