SNRA does not mean Stupid National Rifle Association. It means Sawtooth National Recreation Area, and it is just north of Ketchum where we camped and hiked for two days. We loved it. The weather was great; the mountains were beautiful; the towns were small and far between; the air was clean; and the world was quiet for a little while. Here's a couple of pictures.

That's so weird--J got something in the mail from the SNRA today! Evidently they want him--hello, do they know him? Step off, I say!
What beautiful country! These photos, mixed with my last blog, are just a couple of reminders [to me] that some fresh mountain air would really do me some good right now. How did the boy do? (And how did your back do?) How very Von Trap of your family! I love it. Peace. Stay away from bears.
THat looks like fun. I miss that area of Idaho, it is a great place to go. Great pictures!
Ian has always been a good hiker. We hiked daily in the woods from his birth until we moved to Idaho and had no woods to hike in. (Consequently, my back is strong enough to carry the lad). Now we play in the street a lot. Although he rather enjoyed playing in the car while we set up camp and cooked, he generally enjoys the outdoors. He threw rocks in the stream for a half hour straight.
be-utiful!!
Oh makes me homesick for Idaho. Looks so beautiful
I really enjoyed looking at your site, I found it very helpful indeed, keep up the good work.
