Thank You!

I just wanted to thank you all again for all of your help this past weekend. Abby and I could not have moved in so quickly and easily without all of your help.

We only have one room left to unpack but our bedrooms, the kitchen, and the front have all been settled. You all made our lives so much easier, thanks!

To illustrate the amount of progress that you helped up make, we spent a few hours in the back yard cleaning up today! I sprayed the weeds and Abby and I bagged up three large bags of grass clippings. We still have to do a ton of weeding.

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to clean up a dog run? There is about an inch or two of dog crap - no kidding - on the side of our house and it smells. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Well, we love you all and are so grateful to you for your help.

You will need to shovel it out. I suggest a few loads to the dump. Shovel it into garbage bags (don't get them too full to lift) and tie them off. You can pile them up until you get a chance to go to the dump. Dog manure is not like horse or cow, that is, it is not good fertilizer, and simply has to be pitched.

I'd advertize the dog pen in the Penny Saver or Nickel News or whatever, and say, "Chain metal fence-dog run. Free if you remove it and take it."

eeewww!! I am sooo sorry you guys have to clean that up! Our neigbors have three dogs and that is what attracted our rat circus in the backyard last year. They LOVE dog droppings-- so thank heavens you are getting rid of it. I am excited for you guys! We can't wait to come and see you.
