My Own Private Idaho

Born and raised in a perfect little town
lived in two houses, one was yellow, one was br... green
Threw junk off the bridge when we couldn't think of fun
slept on the tramp, while Scruffy bit our bum...s

Mom called me at....I forget what time on Memorial Day morning to see if I had or would post the picture of the Twin Falls temple sight on the blog. I of course hadn't because, even after her call, Lyndon and I didn't gett out of bed until 11 a.m.

I took Lyndon to the old ward and forgot tons of people's names, and didn't recognize a million others (people that is, not names), but it was really fun to show Lyndon around the ol' stompin' grounds. We even saw 6 men "base jump" off of the perinne bridge.

There are a ton of new shopping centers and restaraunts, but a lot is still the same.

The 1025 Sawtooth blvd. house's flower beds are bit over grown and not nearly as beautiful as when mom groomed them. They also got rid of my bright pink blinds (good riddens!). As for the bitterroot house, Mike's foot prints, name, and "2 1/2 years" is still in the driveway.

I talked Lyndon's poor ears off with stories and had a wonderful time. Ah, I love Twin Fallls, so glad I grew up there. However, it doesn't feel as much as like home as it used to with no family there.

Temple sight, not much to it yet.

And here's Lyndon holding Afton. It's in Burley, so it still fits with the Idaho theme of the blog. If you look at her eyes, you will notice the worried look she has on her face. She is soooo expresive!

Oh, and I just had to put this one of Ian on too. He gives me kisses now.

sort of awake...?

I just took Abby to Twin and bored her with stories too! We went to the falls, they are low right now, and then to Derkies Lake, we drove by the houses and the temple site as well. Next time I want to take her by Dad's old office.

Afton has very expressive eyes. She pulls that worried face with her mom and dad too, she may have just farted and is hoping that Lyndon didn't hear!

That has to be one of the cutest pictures of Ian that I have seen. He looks so grown up!

I liked your blog Missy.

Very entertaining poem...Did you know that there is a movie called "My Own Private Idaho"? Never seen it and I would NOT recommend it:) Anyway-- very cute niece and nephew!! Early morning calls were a norm for us when we were first married-- 7am on the weekends. Rich's dad was used to him being a bachelor for a long time.

I love it. Seeing our house almost made me cry. I need to get a job at CSI and then buy the old house.
Great poem, great pictures. Thanks.
