Before I left for my 2 week detail in Richfield, Utah (long may it burn since it didn't while I was there), I made a jacket with the assistance of my wife. I only had to sew the hood on 4 different times before I gave up and accepted it as it is. I am happy with it. It turned out as I pictured it before I even bought the pattern and the fabric. It took me three weeks of naptimes or 2 lord of the rings and 3 harry potter movies to make the darn thing. I broke zero needles, used the iron, the sewing maching, a pick, and I learned what interfacing is. Maybe one day I will have a career as a Walmart sweatshop taylor in Malaysia.
What do you think of my jacket?

Wow! I am very impressed that you are sewing. That is really cool. You might have to start taking orders from people to make some more and sell them. You did a nice job. It is nice to see you on the blog again!
I'm so proud! It looks great!
You're kidding you did that!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I should spend more time with you guys to learn a bit more...things I haven't learnt so far...
Ian looks great!!!
Miss you all!
That is sew amazing! Can I put in an order for a pantsuit? I'll even let you pick the fabric--who knew I was related to such domestic divas...or is it divos?
It's nice...but I'd like to see you in something with an empire waist.
ha!!
Oscarsons make me laugh!
I just got back from Trek. You look very civilized and talented. Maybe you can repair the ruffle I ripped out of the front of my pioneer dress when I stepped on it pushing a handcart. Good job Mike.
Yeah, impressive! I tried to fix Lyndon's shorts that he ripped and he wouldn't let me. He wanted to sew it himself, humph!! I did like that he could do it himself though.
