This year is the first year Lyndon and I have been allowed to have a REAL tree for Christmas in ours digs! So what did I do? I begged Lyndon to agree to get one two days after Thanksgiving, and we did. However being that we are not too experienced at keeping a real tree, we are also not too good at keeping said tree alive. I swear I watered it every day (well, I could have missed one, but only one day...which was probably enough) and it started drying out. Lyndon said we needed to cut the bottom off again, which I refused to do. I didn't want to take all the ornaments off and then put them back on, but sure enough the next day the tree was in worse shape. So we decided to cut the bottom off....an hour before church started. The tree was in the mire!! Come on! Okay, Okay, I put it there. Well, Lyndon brought the mitre saw into the dining area, I held the tree horizontal and Lyndon cut a fresh slice off of the bottom.
End reslut? I was covered in sap, Lyndon in saw dust, and the floor was covered in water, mud, and wet ornaments. We cleaned outselves up went to church and helped the tree and apartment out after we came back. The tree is sucking up water like crazy and the fresh sent of pine is filling the air.
Merry Christmas to all and may your tree live till the new year!! (unless of course yours is fake and you don't have to worry!)

It looks great! Hopefully it will last until christmas.... don't let it run out of water!
Nice tree, Missy!
Hope it lasts until Xmas...
We can't have a real one here...so, I'll be glad to have my old fake tree decorated...
That's a great story. I like imagining you guys in your church clothes running the power saw in the living room and then going to church covered in sap and needles.
I'm glad that you fixed it. Merry Christmas.
Hee hee. That is very funny, and yet sad. Sorry about the sap and dust, but at least you have that fresh pine scent! I have learned my lesson from you.
