Here he is!

We found him at the mission home.  It was pretty exciting. The mission home is beautiful and the mission president and his wife are very gracious.  They really love Rich and it was nice to spend some time in their home.  They are very busy.  Rich took us to downtown Cape Town for a couple of hours before we delivered him back to the mission home for his final dinner and testimony meeting.  We will pick him up in the morning for a day of Cape Town.
Here are a few more pictures.   (PS.  Taxi drivers here are crazy, motorcyclists create their own lane by driving between cars, Africans think hazard lights in the car are to be used to signal you they are about to do something crazy!  Just a little further driving update!)

Sorry these photos got layered on top of each other. What can I say I am working from wi-fi in Africa with a broken arm on a laptop. I'll do better next time

Wahoo! Proof that Rich is still alive! Did you get my text? Can I do that? Or does it cost you extra?

I love the blinker, wiper, shifting experience!

We can see all the pics individually if we click on each. Cool!! The girls think that is pretty weird to see you with Rich now on the blog-- I think they are realizing that you are all the way over there!

Great to you all in pictures. Who is the statue? How do you get a last name like Smuts??? Cool.

Smuts was not a purveyor of bad literature, but a general for the Dutch. Rich's version: "The Dutch settled it, the English stole it, the Dutch stole it back and then the English stole it back again", fair and square. Sort of like The Palestinians had it the Jews stole it, the Iranians stole the Jews and kept the land, the Jews came back and stole it from the British, fair and square. Sort of like, Panama, the Spanish stole it from the Caribe Indians, the Colombians stole it from the Spanish, the Americans stole it from the Colombians, fair and square.... oh well, so much for world politics.

yeah, yeah, but you have to admit that Smuts is a pretty funny last name. I mean the possibilities are endless. Smutty journals, Smutty clothes, Smutty friends, Smut in the house...

Or a cool restaurant name-- Smuts Steak House. Smuts bar and Grill...

Smuts only has three fingers on his left hand. Either he lost them in battle or that was a shotty chisel job.
