This reminds me so much of South America. I feel like I am traveling again in Ecuador or Mexico. Our first day of travel was a ways away from the ocean but tomorrow we start following the coast more closely.
We visited the Cheetas today and sat down in the pen with them and had a good talk. We have great pictures, but mom is charging the battery in her camera right now because we took a lot of pictures and a video. We will post pictures as soon as we can. Richard's camera needs a special Kodak battery and we haven't found one yet. (He knows George very well, it was his most recent area, so we will find one tomorrow.)
Africa is a wonderful place. The people are lovely and friendly. There is a mix of feelings here both good and sad. The social conditions often are too much to think about, but RSA is much better than other countries. In the market yesterday I bought some wooden carvings from a lady who's brother in Congo made them. I didn't want to bargain, in fact, I wanted to pay more because I know how much they are suffering there. I am a poor negotiator. We are so very blessed.

Members in our Wymount ward escaped the Congo by the hair of their necks, it's scary.
I am glad you didn't haggle. Just as long as you don't bring home any foreign candy to share-- I still am suffering the digestive effects.
I think that Julie is referring to the soccerball chocolates from Ecuador. Mmmm...tastes like...stomach ache...diarrea...So are you gonna bring home a Kilamonjaro? A Kinkajou? Taratualas? Ostrich-egg earings? What? Eh? Come on.
It all sounds so wonderful! We are excited to join you in Israel! Can I bring a battery for Rich? Just tell me what kind and I will be happy to bring it. Have fun!
