Well well well it's about time someone put on a blog, sorry julie, we've been so darn tired at night and too darn lazy to actually post anything.
We began our journey by visiting the traditional site of Simon the tanner's house where Peter received the reavelation that the gospel should be taken to all the world. It's traditional because this is an actual old house that is built by the mediteranian sea and has "Simon tha Tanner's house," written in sharpie pen above the door.
It is hard to actually believe that we are in the very place where so many of the stories that we read in the bible have taken place. THe second picture was taken at Caesarea Where Herod the Great built a sea side palace and where Paul was later tried before King Agripa and taken to Rome.
We traveled to Mount Carmel to the traditional site where Elijah challenged the priests of Baal and there we over looked the Jazreel Valley, or the Valley of Armigedon. It is in this valley that almost all of the major wars in the Bible have taken place. It is the only valley in Isreal where they could have chariots fight, otherwise it was slow guerrilla warfare.
On this trip we have with us a CES institute teacher that has been working in ancient scripture for most of his life, he team taught with Hugh Nibbley for many years, and the bretheren send him questions about the scriptures for him to study and send them the answers. He jsut finished sending them a answer as to why we don't have a church patriarch any more. VERY VERY interesting.
Then next picture is Bonnie with a Druze pita tortilla. Look it up.

So they had sharpies and spoke english during the new testament?? That is probably a camera for Israel crack spy force - Hazad. Maybe it smells good too.

I called them before I noticed that they FINALLY posted some more stuff and told Rich that when we were in Disneyland without HIM, we had soooooooooo much fun.
Ha ha! Rich has never been to Disneyland!
