Bike weather again

We went for a bike ride this evening. When Wendy and I stopped to chat with some neighbors, Ian took the sidewalk down the hill on his big wheel at full speed. When he arrived at the street below, he turned onto the grass to avoid the asphalt. He came running back up the hill with large blades of buffalo grass protruding from his nose. He was yelling, "Mom! Mom! My nose is running." I think he handled it rather well.

That is great! Nothing like taking time to smell the buffalo grass-- good for you Ian. I remember using riding Gma Green's big wheels down their steep sidewalk in front of their house-- I think I still have nightmares from that.

Hot Wheels were always interesting, no brakes.

I am glad he is ok. Good grief! Dad is right no brakes make hot wheels very exciting to ride

I remember the big wheels at Grandma Green's house also...those were exciting rides. I think it was Jason that ran into a tree...Some things just don't change!

It reminds me of the first time I tried roller blading. I think I had buffaloe grass up my nose too! Ian handled it better than I did and I was 42.

I think Afton has the exact same bike. Does that bike have and attachment so a parent can push? Afton has us push her all around and points and says - "over there." Ian looks tough. Maybe we can visit and Afton and Ian can have races.

This bike is the D.I. Special version of the bike you mention. It has a hole in the back that you can stuff full of rocks and dirt, no extra attachments, and a 4 inch long bolt through the steering column to hold it all together.
