Last night, Rich found a baby hawk out in the hay stack. The cats would have killed it-- Streak was seconds from finding it...but we just LOVE trying to save animals around here (unless they are being raised for a nice juicy steak...) We will take it to the vet clinic in the "city" that does "raptor rehab." That ought to be fun, since the girls named it "Tomahawk" already and have it in the rabbit pen. The rabbit has been bumped out to the cage below-- good thing the rabbit doesn't know. He might smell the hawk when he gets back into his digs, though.

Whenever he decide to get a pet (not for a long while) I want your kids to name it.
that is really cool.
You do pick cool names. What an adventure at your house!
Yeah, you guys are great at naming animals. We never find anything cool at our house. We did find a rat on the porch once. It was an escaped lab rat. We were just lucky that it hadn't yet developed super powers or something from the experiments at the University. Anyways good luck with this one.
I LOVE that you have hawk now. It's surprisingly cute! I would love a hawk, we could keep it in the chicken coop... wait...
