When a person goes and returns from a mission they often gain a greater appreciation for their parents and the sacrifice that was made on the missionaries behalf. I definitely gained more love and respect for Mom and Dad, but I also gained a wonderful respect and love for each of my brothers and sisters.
Janae and I had Family Home Evening together last night to make more plans for our future, and I found myself returning often to the examples of each of my brothers and sisters. I learned last night just how much I love and appreciate the great examples you set for me not only in marriage, but on your missions too. I have to admit that when you left on your missions the most I really knew was that you were out in a foreign country serving the Lord and teaching people about the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But when the time came for me to serve I began to hear all of your stories through letters and e-mails. Each and every one of you would write to me when I was going through a tough spot, and you would share examples of your own rough roads and how you got through it. I can't tell you how much that meant to me.
When Christmas came along I loved the letters that you wrote sharing your first Christmas on mission and then your second. What an amazing experience it was to read your stories and learn how close they were to mine. I will always hold those letters you wrote to me, and the feelings that they brought me close to my heart.
Now as I embark on a new road, one that leads to marriage to a wonderful girl, I find myself looking to you each as good examples again. Thank you for all being so faithful to your temple covenants and teaching me the value of temple marriage. Mom and Dad have always done so, but I also have the examples of the blessings it has brought to each of you to add as a second witness their testimonies. I love you all so much, thank you for being actively involved in my life, and accepting my beautiful fiancee in to the family. I didn't get to be there for any of your sealings, but I am very glad you will be there for mine.

Thanks, Rich, that was really sweet. I am glad my letters home from my mission didn't scare you:) You are just naturally a good guy, and we are really excited to have Janae in the family.
Wow...Rich, you had written wonderful words...and, I guess you´re not the only one who has your brothers and sisters as an example (also your mom and dad)...I´m so glad I could participate (a little, I know) on the life of this unbeliavable family and I hope , some day, to have a great family on my own like each of them has raised!!
Rich you are pretty good little brother. It is hard to remind myself that you are not my "baby" brother anymore - you are all growed up.
You're sweet bro. Thanks. I am excited to be apart of your sealing as well.
Yeah, we are pretty great. You're welcome.
