The Yellow Dart

Wendy started full-time at her new job, and we found ourselves in need of extra transportation. Since she refuses to ride the motorcycle and won't leave me car-less with the kids, we decided to buy her a car.
Here is the one we picked:

It is a 2004 Toyota Matrix. It gets great gas mileage and it is fun to drive. Eliza calls it the orange car. Ian calls it the yellow car, and Wendy and I can't decided between "The Yellow Dart" and "Trixie." What would you call it?

I think the Yellow Dart is a good name. I can just see Wendy darting her way to work in it. It is a cute car!

I call it cool.

Oh, and what's up with Wendy not wanting to take the motorcycle? Come on Wendy, the residents at work would think you were really cool.

Nice car...reminds of my own new car, which is about to arrive in a few days!!! Except for the color...I love colorful cars...too bad I didn't have many color options while buying mine...

Options? We bought yellow because it was the only car that fit all of our other criteria and was in our price range. If we could choose everything...well then, the car might be a little different. We are happy with this one, even if it is a little, well, you know...yellow.

very yellow, but I am green with jealousy. Not only because your car actually runs, but because it is Lyndon and my dream car right now. We love the matrix. It's a very nice ride, great with kids, gas, everything. We just got a "new" car too. BY force, we got a honda accord, because 'Mona' died, yes, that 2000 toyota that's supposed to last us through med school, it's dead. Ah, but I digress. We are happy you have a good one to get you around. :)

I am so sorry about Mona dieing Missy! That is terrible. Don't you feel betrayed? That's how I felt when the Tracker gave up on us. We hope the Yellow Dart will last forever and then Ian can drive it in high school.

I gotta be honest-- I think of another color dart when you say "yellow dart". I think you should call it "Banan-o-rama".

Glad you have some wheels! Nice pick!

Just don't call it a lemon based on the color. I like O'Banana, after the President.

I am with Juile, when I hear yellow dart, I think of something else right off. Sorry. Too much time around my brothers? I like Trixie. That is what Jared wanted to name Eric while I was pregnant...have no idea how he came up with that one.

Well I guess I am pretty clueless when it comes to double meanings on the name, but personally I prefer "trixie the orange car." In any case what ever you name the thing, I like it.

oops. my computer is dumb. Sorry for so many posts.

Sorry to have blinded you Meredith, but do remember a certain yellow car that drove down the streets of my childhood and parked at your house...Anyways, the name would be "THE Yellow Dart" not simply "yellow dart" like "blue dart" or "burnt fart" or whatever you are all alluding to. Maybe Trixie (short for Matrixie?) will do then. I think that I will skip the banana stuff or yellow zinger... thanks for the input.
