Climbing the Ladder

     Well the photo doesn't really have anything to do with my post today, but it serves it's purpose in my mind as a visual aid. Today I biked to work (it is national ride your bike to work day by the way) and rode around the parking lot for waiting for my co worker to arrive so we could enter the building. I was listening to my i-pod not really knowing what was in store fro me.

      The morning's work commenced as usual with us getting the morning routines out of the way to we could stare into the lobby in a blind stupor waiting for members to arrive. Being a teller has been a great job all in all, despite the boredom at time, and the quirky Co-workers (the one who is perpetually late, the one who is always talking about the stock market, the quiet one, etc.) Well my Boss came back to talk to us (her usual Friday routine) and we laughed and swapped funny stories and generally had a good time, then out of no where she asked me to come to her office. I was a bit nervous when I sat down in there and the assistant branch manager joined us. It turns out one of the Loan officers is leaving this Thursday and I was asked to take his spot. I get a raise and business cards. I was very excited to hear the news, though I knew that at least one of my fellow tellers would not be happy since he has been shooting for this promotion for quite some time. 

        I am really happy that I got it, I'm only worried that I won't get afternoon hours like I need. All the classes that I need to complete my major are in the morning so it makes getting school and work schedules to work difficult to say the least, but I have faith that it will work out by the fall. I am praying an afternoon loan position will open so I don't have to find other work. As it is I am going to have a great summer I think. I am getting married, and nothing else seems to matter right now. Any Cow I just thought you would like an update since I have failed in my resolution to be a better blogger. :)
