When you are put on doctored ordered bed rest and you tell people about it.... They may think it looks something like this first picture. Well that is a nice image and all, but the reality is really something far different.Despite my best efforts the hub of the home has moved with mom to the bedroom. At any given moment you will find Julie surrounded by friends and family. Mostly the kids. They want to be by mom.
So bed rest ends up looking much more often like this next picture. So here is the real picture of bed rest.

Ahhh, how relaxing.
I love the feeling of chaos in the second picture. I also like how "bed rest" isn't really rest at all. It just means you have to do everything in bed. Kinda like the Sabbath is a day of rest, but I haven't ever seen my mom rest on a Sunday.
Maybe you should set small goals with bed rest, like your first goal is to get the kids not to jump on the bed...
Did mom bring up the Wii?
