Don't Judge a book by its cover or wait till you get in the apartment

When we got to Lviv I told Iegor that I knew the billboard said Hotel Restaurant but in my English pronunciation it looked like Rotten Pectopah. He thought that was pretty funny. Now as we walk along he asks me to read signs like they look to me in English. We are coming up with some pretty funny ones. For instance we go to the happy bank for our money.
This is the look of our apartment living room. We have a separate kitchen, toilet, bathroom and entry. It is mostly woods. The place was probably built in the early 1900's.

Our entrance is through the tunnel #35 and then you go up the wooden stairs 4 flights. The old wooden elevator no longer works and hangs up at the top permanently stopped. Elevators are small here by the way. Really small and you are glad when they work. Some of the doors on apartments look original. It is fun to look at them as you climb the stairs and wonder what stories they could tell if doors talked. We go through two locked doors which we unlock with our skeleton keys and bolt behind us to get into our place. It is hard to place pictures so I hope this makes sense. There are shops at the bottom of the apartments and we have an inner courtyard which is crowded with cars buried in snow and one lone tall tree. It is rather Dr. Zhivago like. More later. Sure love you all

So how are the lectures going? What rule are you on? The wood floors in the apartment kinda remind me of Spain.

I was just going to say the same thing, Jared. Small elevators remind me of Spain, too-- scary ones.

You mean the elevators that would you often have to crawl up and out of? Those were the times.

I built a snow-fort today. The floor was made of wet grass. The kids didn't even really play in it.

Glad you are well.

That is a pretty nice apartment. I guess they just don't care much about outward appearance. That's good, I guess.
