Last Day in Lviv

It is our last day in Lviv and we may not have internet again until we reach Sweden on Friday night our time. Last night we met the missionaries and a two couple missionaries at a special restaurant on Rynok Square #14. You go to a secret door, knock, through a peep hole they ask you the password, the missionaries tried to teach me but had to help me with. It is Glory to Ukraine. They let you in. Offer you a shot of vodka and if you are all of us you say NI. (no) Then they let you through a secret door behind a bookcase and you go down a passage to a basement restaurant made to look like a resistance hideout. It was great fun. It is a beautiful city. Tonight or tomorrow we leave for Chernivtsi for two days of classes then catch a train to Kyiv so we can fly out to Sweden Friday afternoon our time. Trains are not dad's favorite thing. They are very slow (but dependable, you know you will get there) and very very very hot. So the all night train to Kyiv will be long. Love you all and miss you too.

Ahhh, The trains run on time:) You guys look like you are having a great time!

They should make a restaurant like that in the US-- but make it a speak-easy with 1930's entertainment. You could get a shot of moonshine as you walk in.

Seriously the coolest place to eat in the world. I agree with Julie it would be a great success here. (underground success of course.)

Sounds fun. We have a place like that in Chubbuck, only the doors are made of glass and you can just walk in, and also the guns are hanging in the back window of people's trucks instead of inside, and instead of vodka they offer you french fries with everything, and the resistance takes place somewhere between your stomach and your lower intestine.

Mike you crack me up:)

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, I laughed so hard with that whole stomach to lower intestine comment that I nearly threw up. But that's not really a surprise. :)
