Saturday in London

Yesterday we took off to Westminister Abbey which is right by Big Ben, which is right by Parliment which is right by Downing Street and on and on. It was an easy walk. Mark and I spent about 3 hours in Westminister and Jared will appreciate how crazy I can get around so much history. I had to walk by Queen Elizabeth's tomb a couple of times and Mary Queen of Scots and ok Henry III and Edward I. OK OK a lot of it. IT was really cool. You couldn't take pictures though. But I did buy a postcard for Julie of Handel's burial and memorial. And to Mike and all the literary giants the Poet's corner was also really mesmerizing. Hey and we are in a flat just 1 block over from where Samuel Taylor Coeleridge lived. After Westminster we walked to Downing Street to see the PM but there was protest going on. Some are not very happy with the election. We saw Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Picadilly. It was all very fun. So here are some pictures.

So now we are off to Hyde Park to Church and then Buckingham Palace and whatever else we can fit in. Love to you all

How about the rest of us all save and plan a trip to UK together in 10 years? What do you say?

Julie...I've been inviting you for a visit for the last (almost) 12 years and you suggest to go to the UK? :o(

The truth of it is Cris-- I would love to go both places, but I know I won't ever be able to afford it let alone get on an airplane without someone knocking me out cold!:)
