Today and Yesterday the Tower and Hampton Court

We are going at lightning speed and I haven't posted because I hit the sack last night and didn't wake up till 8 am. Yesterday Mark and I went to the Tower of London, then Lincoln Inn of Court (for lawyers only!) the London Eye, China Town for dinner, a walk through Covent Garden to the play Oliver. It was all great. Today we went to Hampton Court to see where Henry the VIII lived some of the time. IT was all great. So here are a few shots.

Here is the Tower of London and about 1000 years of history. It is so great. Oh and the Crown Jewels. What was most moving to me was seeing the Green where Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Grey and Thomas Moore lost their heads.

Then we were off to the Inns of Court. Since Mark is the President of the Utah County Inns of Court, he got permission to see the area and for us to eat there. There was a huge Hogwart style room we ate it. Several justices come in while we were there so I couldn't take any pictures after that. One of a Supreme Court Justice which England has copied from our system. It was all really very interesting. They do not wear robes and wigs to court anymore. But they do wear a special high collar and white tie. We learned a lot

After leaving Lincoln's Inn we tried to find the Knight's Templar chapel but we couldn't find it. It as in the middle of a maze of buildings and we lost our way. (For those who saw the Divinci code this was in that movie, but I don't think they want people to find it) Then we did London Eye which is the giant ferris wheel which allows you to see all of London and it was great. Then it was Dim Sum in China Town, Covent Garden and Oliver. The Musical was so great. It was really fun. Really fun.
Today we went to Hampton's Court. There were beautiful gardens and lots of palace. There are over 1000 rooms in this old palace and 100 are open to the public. Bring your walking shoes. Here are just a few shots of Henry's place.
