We are doing so much I can't keep up with Me

Yesterday was our last day in London. It was Kew Gardens and the Kew Palace. It was huge. One of the largest botanical gardens in the world. The Palace was small and used by King George III during his madness periods. (See The Madness of King George) Then we went over to the Syon House where the Duke of Northumberland lives. Another huge garden. We went to Wicked the end the night. Wow. That is all I can think of. What a musical. Today we left for Salisbury. Bye Bye London.

Guess where this is

Then it was Wilton House where movies like Pride and Prejudice, the Young Victoria and Sense and Sensibility were filmed. The gardens were beautiful so I tried my hand at doing some quick sketches.

Last we went to the Salisbury Cathedral. Built 1220. Just that old. There was a knight buried there (Earl of Salisbury) who was the illigetimate son of Henry II (you know the King in Lion in Winter, father of richard the Lion hearted etc) It got even cooler. There was copy of the Magna Carta there. One of 4 still in existence. There was an indulgence to one of those accused of participating in the death of Thomas Beckett. a letter from Queen Elizabeth. It was like stumbling into a national achieve. Unbelieveable. We finished our visit by attending Evening Song service and listened to the boys choir sing in that gorgeous gothic medival cathedral. Then off to a pub for dinner and now I am exhausted. Love to you all.

Oh and I almost forgot these signs. Can't forget the signs

You forgot to tell how you tipped the knight's tomb over and found a shield with an inscription to find the resting place of the Holy Grail...

That all looks so awesome!
