This is my date for the Gala Dinner. It was a lot of dancing and very loud music and announcing. (the huge speakers were right by us, and Russians don't do anything quietly. We put in ear plugs!) They had various musical numbers including a European Band called Bon Aire which had a James Brown look alike with Supremes. The crowd went wild! They sang all in English songs I've never heard before and all the conventioneers sang along, whether they were Russians or Kasaks.
