Taking Grandma Green to see the lights

Tonight we took Grandma Green to see the lights on Temple Square. We ate at the Garden Cafe and looked out over the city and then stood at the large picture windows and viewed the lights below. It was beautiful.
Then we went down to the lobby and listened to the concerts that were provided for free and grandma did a lot of people watching and she throughly enjoyed herself.

She mentioned several times that this was the first time in 67 years she was celebrating Christmas without TJ.  Even during the war they had Christmas together. The Old Hotel Utah/Joseph Smith Memorial Building holds a lot of pleasant memories for her. It was good to find something she really enjoyed and did not want to rush from.
When we got back to Bountiful and we drove up to the Bountiful temple and  drove around it where the neighbors have set up beautiful pictures of the Savior's life with scripture.  It was really nice.
She was happy.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

That is great. I am so glad she had a good time. I used to take the girls with me every year and pick up Rich from work, and we would go see the lights. I miss seeing them! The tree is so beautiful!

That sounds great. The best we can do is drive by the neighbors with a singing, inflatable snowman. It is really sad.
