Then the men flew home and the girls began a road trip home.
We have seen so far some of the following
Grandin's Print shop in Palmyra, New York
The Sacred Grove
We found a great place to play Pooh Sticks on the Smith Farm
Niagara Falls which by the way is American Falls and Horseshoe Falls at Niagara. Don't program Niagra Falls in your GPS or it will guide you to downtown Niagara Falls (a town). Fortunately we followed the tower of mist to the falls. It is incredible.
We ended the tour stops at Johnson Farm near HIram Ohio. This is where the 76th section of the Doctrine and Covenants was received and where Joseph was mobbed, tarred and feathered. It is a beautiful place and worth the hour drive from Kirtland.
Tonight we are at a Holiday Inn Express near Ashland Ohio 60 miles north of Columbus. So basically no where near anything. We stopped here because Claire had been screaming for about 30 minutes in the back seat and it seemed a good time to stop. I did the laundry, gassed up the car and got dinner for everyone. Not in that order and Missy bathed the girls and stuffed them into bed. She is now down detoxing in the fitness room if there is one or has run away down the highway of Ashland. I think she will come back.
The sites have been fun. But I have learned little girls get more excited over their own bag of chips, the hotel pool and a carton of chocolate milk than historical sites, they have bladders the size of thimbles which become full when you are in the middle of a toll road with no way off and 6 hours of driving in a car makes them crazy people. We have come over 800 miles all ready and we have a ways to go yet. Since I started this journey we have been in 7 states and there are many more to add. Tomorrow the plan is to go see Fort Ancient which is an old Native American site now associated by some Mormon scholars with th Book of Mormon. It is just outside of Cinncinati and then we head toward Nauvoo. It may take us a while at the rate we are going. Wish us luck and lots of bathrooms for little girls.

I am surely sorry I can't be there. Gotta bring home those material blessings!
Keep up the reporting.
you guys are amazing! It looks like so much fun. We just did a long car trip. That is a time where I was so thankful to have all boys. If they had to pee really bad, they just used the empty gatorade bottle! Is the too much information?? It made the trip a lot easier!
Thank you for the update! We've been hoping and praying your journey is going well!!
Keep us posted, it sound like you have many fun things planned.
Good luck! And hope the girls can hold it!! ( :

Thank you for posting. I have cabin fever and am glad to know of your adventures.
That looks like so much fun. I am glad that you are seeing so many awesome places. I can't wait to here more-- and here's hoping that you don't have to make too many potty breaks from now on!
I wish I could see all those sites too! Missy, you look so cute.
Jealous you get to see all the church sites! I love the girls, they're so cute! Wishing you many bathrooms along your way!
I wish I knew you guys would be in Kirtland. We live like 15 minutes away!!!!! Well, maybe we will have to make a trip to Utah to see you. Glad you made it safely.
