I have been home a week and finally feeling like I may get back on top of things in my life. I decided to post some pictures of the way the garden and bees look and some of the harvest I came home to. Thanks to Rich and Dad for watering. It paid off.
The strawberries have been great and the carrots were delicious! Next week there will be cucumbers!
My bees have been very busy. Two of the three boxes are now filled with 8 perfectly straight honeycombs. This is a shot through the view window in the back of the box. You can actually see the nectar in the comb cells. They are now working on filling up the bottom box and trying to keep the hive cooled off in this hot weather. They are amazing creatures to watch. I am a true bee nerd.
Anyway, come visit me in my garden. You are most welcome to try the strawberries and see if any raspberries are ripe.

What a beautiful garden! I am ready to start mine over and try again. You'll have to give me some pointers.
the bees have been busy! that is so cool! Love the produce. I keep going out and looking at my tomato plants trying to get them to be ready faster!
YOur produce is incredible! Yummy. Thanks for a great day today again. (mom came a made me a garden, the woman is unstoppable)
I guess that is why they talk about being as busy as a bee! They are so fascinating. You have become a regular Mother Earth!
Everything looks great.
Awesome! I love those beautiful strawberries-- I wish we had those in our garden!! I can't believe how much farther ahead your garden is than us up here. Everything in ours is starting to burn up all ready. Those bees are cool!
How fun! We're excited to check it out in person!
I don't know if I'm allowed to comment on your blog, but I am anyways. Your garden looks great! I love fresh produce it always tastes the best! :)
That is amazing! James makes fun of me for killing every plant we ever get. I finally got some desert plants so I can't kill them [very easily]. It's amazing my children have all survived this long. I want some of your fresh honey! I'm a sucker for local raw brew!
