Before Summer ends

I was caught short the other day when I realized the grandkids go back to school next week. I just thought summer would go on.  So I decided I needed to post a few items from the past weeks that I have enjoyed this summer
Mike upheld the Spudman tradition when everyone else couldn't because of new jobs, family reunions, achille tendon problems and a broken foot. What people do to get out of running! Diane Carlson lets us crash as usual at her place afterwards and raid the raspberry patch and eat (and Mike shower off!)

Another favorite moment was Julie's performance with Craig Jessop's choir in "ST. Matthew's Passion" by Bach.  IT was beautiful and I have to say I love seeing Julie sing

Then my flowers bloomed and the bees buzzed and the hummingbirds flocked to our yard. (No joke we had as many as 8 humming birds fighting over the feeder.  I finally went and got another one.  Now it is the war of the Rufus hummingbirds vs. the Black chin hummingbirds!)

Then the Wild Card's performed at the River woods. This band happens to have my favorite percussionist.

I had some video clips but my computer refuses to load them right now.  So this is it for now.
Hope you made it this far.

You've been busy! I feel so sad I missed seeing the Spudman and visiting with Diane, and that I missed the Wild Cards!! Cute cousin pictures! That is crazy about the hummingbirds, ha!!

Fun times! I also feel sad that we missed the Spudman. In fact, I think we missed all your events... but thanks for the pictures. It made me feel better.
