Grandma Stubbs October 29, 2013
So here is the story. Grandma has a new friend, "Wanda". Wanda has a car. They went to Target to get, of course, Icy Hot, what else. (Keep in mind, the Target Store is within walking distance from Seville.) Well, Wanda backed up the car and hit a car behind her. "It just scratched the other car" says Mom, but collapsed the back fender of Wanda's car. Wanda asks Mom, "What should we do?" Mom said, "Let me fix it." She approached the fender and gave it the old 'one-two' and slammed her hip into it popping it back in place, minus a bit of the bumper. Then Wanda (remember the 80+ year old driving her car) asked Mom again, "What should we do?" Mom said, "You have Triple A, call them!" So they called AAA who sent a tow truck with a 25' long flat tow-bed. It took quite a while to maneuver the truck into place, and they succeeded after a few people in the parking lot moved their cars. It got loaded up and then the truck driver offered to take them to the repair shop. Mom ask him how he expected to get her, her foot, her walker and all into the truck. He just got behind her and lifted her up and in. Next, they go to the repair shop and are told it will take 3 hours to repair it. Well, they have already been gone 3 hours, so they ask if there is a shuttle. The "shuttle guy" comes around in an old beat-up brown station wagon and Mom can't get in. He is "an old guy" according to Mom. She tries to step into it and gets stuck. He just stands there. She says, "well, don't just stand there move my foot", which he does and then she is teetering on the brink and he desperately says, "Do I have permission to touch your butt?" She says, "Yes!" and so he does and slides her into the car. Wanda says upon arriving at Seville. "Well, I guess you can say we really had an adventure today."

I guess so.

I'm glad their OK. I don't understand why they needed a tow truck for a bumper problem.
