Happy Birthday America!

Happy 4th of July (even if you are not reading this on the 4th). Gpa M and Gma J started their 24th of July celebration early, so we are glad that they made it to this one, too.
This is how our get-together started off. Of course, these two had had a very long week-- especially Gpa & Gma. Sam and Gpa slept through the rest of us partying away so they must have been tired. Afton must have thought we were all very boring-- she was a good little sleeper. How come they always sleep so well for the grandparents?

Thanks for coming to visit and celebrate the 4th. Thankfully, no fingers were blown off, no neighbors houses were set fire, and no rockets went awry. If that had happened, at least we would have had fire-fighter Mike on hand. It was good to see you all and visit. Thanks so much.

The only thing that I am upset about is that NO ONE TOOK ANY EGGS HOME!!!!! (I forgot to pawn them off as you were all leaving so quickly.... is that why everyone took off so fast??!?) The next time you all come we will have an omlet party and some egg nog.

Ok, for those of us bad cousins out there, where are you living and what's with the eggs?

Julie has a neigbor with chickens - they lay eggs every day.

Thanks so much for letting us come and stay with you guys! We loved Newton, it is beautiful, and your house rock! SOrry that we left all our stinky diapers in the bathroom trash can!

Oh...we gave "some one" a ride home...he snuck into our car....

Thank you for the loverly weekend getaway. We are so sad that we forgot the eggs (and the plate).

The fires waited until Sunday. Yesterday I was out until 12pm fighting two different local fires. Looks like it will be a busy one. Love you all. Glad to see you.
