Red Pepper Jelly wins Blue Ribbon in Cassia County Fair
After much encouragement(from Lana Gibbons), I entered my Red Pepper Jelly in the Cassia County Fair. It actually took the blue ribbon in it's category. I also placed 2nd with Raspberry Amaretto jam. I would like to thank all my friends and family for this wonderful opportunity, I couldn't have done it without you, especially Wendy who set the pace with her Blue Ribbon in the Quilting division. I would also like to thank Julie who taught me jam making can be fun, not stressful. Lastly, Royal who stayed neglected the whole summer while I whipped up batch after batch. Next week, I think I'll be going global.

Hurray for Meredith! Can I take some credit for having tasted the jam in the past? Well, maybe not...but I will buy your jam at the grocery store in support of your excellence in cookery and child neglect. Good job.
We're SOOOO Proud!!!
You go Girl! Nothing like sweeping the field! By the way I want to try some of that raspberry stuff. It all sounds so good! We are so proud we know you.
*Sniff* I always KNEW you would do us proud! So, when do you market your jam our way? Way to go!
Actually, I begin marketing at the Utah County Farmers Market next Saturday. So please come try and buy. I also have Apricot Amaretto,Lavender Jelly, Apricot-Rhubarb, and the famous Red Pepper Jelly. It will be fun... hopefully.
Whoa! Where did this new hobby spring forth? Cool! Now I have to try and be domestic, I hate this competition...and you ran in the Spud Man, sheesh Meredith, is there anything you aren't doing this summer? :)
Hey-- what is soooo wrong with the Cache Valley farmer's market-- we just aren't GOOD enough for you, huh? Will someone please buy me some of the famous jelly? I will pay you back-- Mom???
Honestly Miss, this summer was the first time since I was 14 that I haven't worked. I had to fill my time with some new things. Plus, I can't bear to see my mother's garden/orchard go to waste 2 years in a row.
I could smell it when we visited. I had wonderful dreams of jelly for days afterward. Save a jar for abby and I.
