Red Pepper Jelly wins Blue Ribbon in Cassia County Fair

After much encouragement(from Lana Gibbons), I entered my Red Pepper Jelly in the Cassia County Fair. It actually took the blue ribbon in it's category. I also placed 2nd with Raspberry Amaretto jam. I would like to thank all my friends and family for this wonderful opportunity, I couldn't have done it without you, especially Wendy who set the pace with her Blue Ribbon in the Quilting division. I would also like to thank Julie who taught me jam making can be fun, not stressful. Lastly, Royal who stayed neglected the whole summer while I whipped up batch after batch. Next week, I think I'll be going global.

Hurray for Meredith! Can I take some credit for having tasted the jam in the past? Well, maybe not...but I will buy your jam at the grocery store in support of your excellence in cookery and child neglect. Good job.

Honestly Miss, this summer was the first time since I was 14 that I haven't worked. I had to fill my time with some new things. Plus, I can't bear to see my mother's garden/orchard go to waste 2 years in a row.
