I posted some pictures on Facebook thinking it would be faster, but I am still waiting.   Yesterday we left the Isle of Skye and took the ferry across to the mainland.  We learned where Max Headroom got his name and saw the Loch Ness Monster.  We visited Glen Coe where still another group of Mck's killed another group of Mck's, only this time it was a government trick.  We learned that the Scots invented mountain climbing and rock climbing, (along with our prior learning that they invented the telephone and television).  We stopped at a beautiful Loch, another one.   They all remind me of Lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  They have so much water here in Scotland.

Next we saw a castle on the lake and went to a monument to Bonnie Prince Charles (his mother should be gotten after for that girlie name)) and then saw what EVERYONE else was there to see, the train bridge that the Harry Potter train traveled over in the films.

Gaelic  and English -- stimulate any genetic memories in anyone?
I am mixing up the days, but we ended up at the lake, Loch Katrine, where Sir Walter Scott penned "The  Lady of the Lake".   It is the lake of inspiration for all artists in Scotland.   We took a boat ride then found a pub and a B&B  and went to bed.

The bay by the ferry

I saw something in the water -- I snapped a picture.  No Nessie....

The next click - there WAS something in the water.  These pictures are not faked!!!

The Lady of the Lake - Loch Katrine the site of all Scottish artistic inspiration

The actual island that Sir Walter Scott saw!

Mom loves how they use the word "wee".

Stalker Castle - Cool, huh.  This was a star in Monte Python's movie.  (One of two we will see.)

You guys are funny:)!

I think you saw the Loch Ness monster, for sure!

My boys use the word "wee" all the time-- but usually two times in a row, and its usually not funny. Maybe its genetic.
