I know I know I am late

Ok so I am really late.  I am lucky to remember what day it is let alone what week I am in and then I look at the Calendar and realize it is November! Last week we went to a Mission President seminar in Seattle Washington.  It was a great up lift despite the fact that several problems back in the mission field kept us Sleptless in Seattle the first day or two. We have 4 members of the Seventy to instruct us and the wives were equally great. In fact my favorite session was the one with just the mission president wives and the wives of the Seventy.  At any rate it was great and we even found time to walk along the wharf of the Puget Bay in Seattle. At least I think that is what it is called and we also did a session at the Seattle Temple.

I think my mental picture of Mark will be him typing at his computer or his phone or his phone at his ear.
34 Mission Presidents and wives at the seminar.

We got back Saturday and drove straight to Chula Vista Stake Center where I dropped Mark off for the Priesthood session of Stake Conference. I drove home. unpacked the car, grabbed a bit to eat and drove back to Chula Vista for the evening session.  Sunday we spoke in the English and in the Spanish session which provided me with one of my better memories.  I was stumbling over a word in my talk in spanish and the members helped me from the audience. Well at least they knew what word I was trying to say.  They are so great and so appreciative of anyone trying. That is what I get for practicing my talk on the plane ride home.  Not like I had any other time.
Monday I met with my nurses. One is being released and so we had lunch together and Penny was there and able to meet them and learn some of what she is getting into on her mission. That morning we had put a sister on the plane and rushed to the office because a homeless vet insisted on seeing the President of the mission .  Long story for another day.  After I finally got to my lunch I ran some errands and came home to find Mark busy with transfers and private counceling sessions with missionaries.  Next day bright and early we were at the airport to see missionaries off and welcome in the new one.  IT is getting hard to say good bye to some of these missionaries.  But the consolation is we got some great news in as well.  By 7pm we had them interviewed, instructed and fed several times, matched up with their companions and sent off and I realized I had not really sat down since morning.
 Some of those who left
all of those who arrived

Today we trained at the Battalion and then met Randy and Penny who toured the Battalion and we all ate lunch together with our AP's .. Randy and Penny then allowed us to use their afternoon to show them the office, met another missionary coming in from SLC temple square for a rotation out and to see the place where we hope to move the office.  Randy has such a great sense of space it was nice to have his eyes on it.  Then it was off to a stake mission meeting in San Diego North Stake and finally home over 12 hours later.
So maybe that explains why no post till now. It is almost 11pm and I am off to bed. There are lots of things I can't even put in this post but you get the idea.
love you all much
MOM

Oh man, I have some reading to catch up on. I never read blogs anymore, so I don't think to check this. I also am not on Facebook anymore -so I am super out of the loop! We miss having you around. At least others get to enjoy you.
