Today we are sick

Okay I will admit we are down today. We shake so many hands and give so many hugs, all of which we are grateful for...but it has finally caught up with us and we have to admit we are sick. I have lost my voice and all energy and Mark is down too.  So today it is a forced P-day. Thankfully.  The flu is rampant here in San Diego.  I have had so many missionaries down it is amazing. I guess really we are lucky we are not sicker.  We fed some missionaries breakfast this morning and that was really pleasant. It is fun to visit with them in small groups.  Some have not been in the mission home since they arrived in the field so it is a big deal to see it again for them.  My waffle iron blew out though so it looks like I will have to get a new one.  So sad.
We had zone conferences all week and on Friday we stopped and had the zone watch President Monson's funeral.  It was special to view.  I will try to make sure I can say, "I have done something good today."  Our zone leaders presented our theme we gave them at MLC which is Your are the Message.  They did great jobs. I feel like we are finally getting the hang of things here. At least I hope so.  So here are some pictures of our missionaries
 Zone 6 in El Centro
Zone 4 San Diego East and El Cajon
 Zone 5 Santee and Poway
Zone 1 San Diego North and San Diego North
Zones 2 and 3 San Diego and Chula Vista
I also found out this week that one of our Assistants to the President has a little brother who is a sophomore at Green Canyon where LL goes to school and after texting her the information she discovered his brother is in her math class.  Small world.
We had a drama last night that required the assistance of Melissa and Lyndon. Thanks for your expertise, but do to that fact I swore I wouldn't"t tell the mission what happened I cannot give details. It was really kind of funny but not. It makes for a good tale from the mission.  You will have to ask Missy or Lyndon what happened that we needed them for. I will give you details another day.  All too funny.  I am just glad I have such good resources to help with the array of things that happen here.
Never a dull moment I promise.
Well I think I will go lay down while I can and try to recoup. It may be the only chance we get.
We love you all so much and are so very grateful for your prayers and support. We feel it.  We pray for you too and hope all is well with you.  I have to admit being sick in the warm sunshine somehow helps.
love
MOM
